Where do bass go in summer?
They move to cooler, shadier water near the bottom and hold in the 77–80°F band; below the stratification level there is no oxygen, so fish stay above it.
In the heat of summer bass often move to cooler, shady areas near the bottom. Many lakes stratify in summer, and there is no oxygen or fish below the stratification level, so the catchable fish hold above it. Bass avoid water warmer than 80°F and seek 77–80°F.
baromoon derives a stratified position state from the lake's mixing type plus modeled water temperature, and favors suspended presentations that stay in the oxygenated layer.
